Kyiv law enforcers completed a pre-trial investigation into the illegal use of official equipment of the judicial administration for the extraction of cryptocurrencies. This was reported by the prosecutor's office in Kyiv.

An official holding one of the leading posts in the Informational Judicial Systems SE, from January to May 2018, using malware, mined cryptocurrency on official computers.
In addition, he used equipment that provides the online services of the judiciary for the operation of several online stores.
The prosecutor's office sent an indictment to the court. The official is charged with violation of part 1, 2 of art. 361, part 1 of article 3611 CC of Ukraine illegal interference in the operation of computer systems and the spread of malware. He faces up to 6 years in prison.
Last year, it became known that two employees of the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine are suspected of mining cryptocurrencies on official computers. Whether these two cases are connected is not reported.
