Spanish crypto startup and payment card issuer 2gether will not be able to pay off € 1.2 million in debt to users that were hijacked by hackers on Friday, July 31st.

On Sunday, August 2, the startup team announced that they could not find the indicated amount (26.79% of 2gether's total funds). “If we could cover this fraud with our funds, we would do it,” 2gether said in a statement. According to the report, negotiations with an unnamed investment group fell through.

2gether offered users a refund with ERC20 tokens from the 2GT startup. Users are going to get the stolen sum at just under $ 0.06 per token. The startup team pledged to find additional funding “as soon as possible” to compensate for the number of stolen funds.
