Billionaire Mark Cuban invested in the Ethereum L2 scaling solution and framework building protocol Polygon. The sum of the investment wasn't announced.

Polygon was added to Cuban's website as part of his capital.

The platform's native token MATIC has reached a new all-time high on May 18, surging over $2.68. Currently, the token ranks 13d by market cap, which stands at over $13.4 B.

Mark Cuban has been interested in the crypto industry before. His basketball team Dallas Mavericks accepts payments in Bitcoin, BCH, ETH, USDC, GUSD, PAX, BUSD, and Dogecoin.

The entrepreneur has occasionally shown his support for crypto posting about them on his Twitter account. He mentioned the advantage of Bitcoin over gold, saying it is easier to trade, store and create without delivery issues. In another tweet Cuban noted how Ethereum Smart Contracts for DeFi can better alternative to banks.
