On May 8 Elon Musk will be the guest of the American show Saturday Night Live (SNL). The businessman tweeted about this, posting "The Dogefather, SNL May 8".

Following this, DOGE has gained over 20%. Now the coin trades at around $0.3 ranking the 7th by market cap.

Tesla CEO is a big Dogecoin supporter. Not once has he mentioned the cryptocurrency in his tweets, which has resulted in the price increase.

The community calls Musk the CEO of Dogecoin.

After reaching an all-time high of $0.43 on April 19, Doge started to fall. It dropped to $0.2. Will it manage to hit $1 as the community expects, isn't clear.

Recently, Tesla, the electronic vehicle company led by Musk, announced it sold 10% of its Bitcoin holdings. The deal brought the company $272 M.
