American Cancer Society Starts a Fund Exclusively in Crypto

Nonprofit institution American Cancer Society partnered with digital currency contributions firm The Giving Block to establish a fund.

The creators aim to raise at least $1 M. In the publication they mentioned expecting to boost the sum by early 2021. Earlier, donors could send BTC to ACS over BitPay.

The Cancer Crypto Fund accepts various cryptocurrencies, including BTC, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Chainlink, Zcash, Gemini Dollar, and the Basic Attention Token.

The organization announced that the first donator who contributes over $250.000, can name the fund after themselves or a beloved one. Any donors to send at a minimum of $10.000 can have their name posted on a Crypto Cancer Fund Wall of Honor.

The establishment is going to use the funds for the research process, which includes finding out new innovative solutions and treatment options. A lot of nonprofit entities have started to allow cryptocurrency donations. Among them are UNICEF, American Red Cross, Save the Children, and others.
