Presently, Visa cooperates with 35 crypto wallets and protocols. On January 28, a conference call on Visa's fiscal first-quarter 2021 results took place. During his speech, the CEO of the company Alfred Kelly talked about crypto as well. He said that the firm can aid in making cryptocurrencies less risky, more beneficial, and convenient for payments. He referred to the differences between Bitcoin-like assets, which he calls "digital gold" and fiat-pegged coins.
Kelly finds that like fiat currencies, crypto can also serve as a means for global trade. He went on to say that there is no reason for Visa not to add cryptocurrency payments. Presently, the company supports over 160 fiat currencies.
