On May 5, major Automated Market Maker (AMM) UniSwap disclosed that the v3 is launched on the mainnet.

The upgrade is the most optimized variant of the network with the Concentrated Liquidity offering. That means effective capital yielding for liquidity providers and a better framework for traders. According to the blog post published by UniSwap, Layer 2 deployment on the Ethereum scaling solution Optimism will take place a short while after.
Before the launch, there was a bug bounty taken place on GitHub, during which there weren't found any major bugs in the system.
UniSwap was founded in November 2018. Its previous V2 was launched on Ethereum mainnet on March 18, 2020.
In September 2020 the platform released its native token UNI.
The token reached its all-time high on May 3 surpassing $44.92. The cryptocurrency ranks 11th in terms of the market cap which stands at above $21.8 B.
