The platform plans to launch its version 3 on May 5, 2021. Ethereum's testnets are Görli, Kovan, Rinkeby, and Ropsten, which are used by developers to check the smart contract functionalities before their deployment to the mainnet. This is a major step done before the v3 release.

On March 23 a bug bounty was incentivized on GitHub. It suggested that in the case of finding high severity bugs in V3’s contracts developers would get rewards up to $500,000.

The V3 will bring more flexible and efficient AMM with features like NFT liquidity, flexible fees, range orders, and more.

On April 15 UniSwap's native token UNI reached an all-time high of $39.20. Later, on April 20, Israel-based multi-asset investment provider eToro added the token. That very day UniSwap's founder Hayden Adams informed that the weekly trading volume of the network reached the record high of $10 B.
