Brazilian Federal Police seized 150 million Brazilian reais ($ 28.7 million) worth of cryptocurrency in Operation Kryptos, linked to an alleged pyramid scheme.

Law enforcers arrested five people. In addition to digital assets, the police ended up with $ 3.6 million in cash in US dollars, 21 premium cars, and various jewelry.

According to investigators, one of the detainees, Gladeson Acasio, became the organizer of the criminal scheme. The owner of a digital asset consulting business in Rio de Janeiro offered clients up to 15% per annum. He is charged with the withdrawal of “billions” of reals of client funds.
