Spain's largest telecommunications company Telefónica enables purchases in Bitcoin, Ether, and other cryptocurrencies for its online tech marketplace Tu.

To offer this option, the company partners with the cryptocurrency exchange Bit2Me. Telefónica also launched its NFT marketplace that operates on the Polygon network and is integrated with the cryptocurrency wallet Metamask.

The telecom company is exploring tech possibilities. Recently, the team announced collaboration with Qualcomm to build and grow Extended Reality and metaverse products and services.
Terlefoinca mentioned that they see many possibilities in combining immersive devices with Web3 technologies. This Thursday, Telefonica celebrated its “Metaverse Day” releasing several announcements related to this technology. The company also plans to convert original works by famous authors into NFTs.
