At the end of last week, the President of El Salvador Nayib Bukele promised to give out $ 30 in bitcoin to all residents of the country.
Then it became known that the state would send this cryptocurrency to Chivo crypto wallets. The developers of this service have become official partners of the El Salvadorian authorities in the implementation of a project to legalize bitcoin.
However, no one will force the Salvadorans to install only this crypto wallet.

Nayib Bukele tweeted that citizens of the Latin American state will be free to choose a wallet to store BTC. They will be able to use any services operating in the territory of El Salvador.
Chivo is only one of the available to citizens and compatible crypto wallets, the Salvadoran leader emphasized.
Each citizen will be able to use bitcoin to pay for goods and services, or he will be able to convert BTC into US dollars and receive cash through cryptocurrency terminals, which will soon be installed by companies participating in a large-scale presidential project.
