So, everyone will be able to help the city’s progress by purchasing or mining MIA and the received amount will go to the city's treasurer. The only platform to trade the coin is Okcoin.

MIA is the first coin of the CityCoins project. MiamiCoin investors will get BTC or Stacks (STX) rewards in return.

STX is the in-house token of Stacks, a layer 1 blockchain that links to BTC and makes smart contracts and dApps available to it. MIA also allows owners to carry out yield farming on the Stacks protocol.

Miami’s Mayor Francis Suarez supports the crypto industry. He aims to make the city the leading hub for tech and crypto startups, also inviting miners from China to move operations to the city.

During the BTC 2021 Conference, Suarez called Miami the world's BTC capital.
