Media magnate, Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg posted a photo of two of his goats on May 10. In the description, he said that the names of the goats are Max and Bitcoin.

The post raised various discussions among the users. Many posted that it might mean that Zuckerberg supports BTC and or Facebook has invested or considers to invest in the coin.

After the post BTC price saw an increase reaching $58.000 but then it fell again.

Currently, Bitcoin trades at around $55.400 with a market cap of $1 trillion. Its dominance index stands at 42.99%.

Facebook aims to launch its own cryptocurrency. The intention was announced first in 2019. The unit will be in the form of stablecoin. It was meant to be named libra. However, the plan has been facing regulatory issues.

In December 2020, the company changed the name "Libra" to "Diem". The stablecoin is expected to be launched later this year.
