Kazakhstan is included in the list of the largest bitcoin miners. This country, along with the United States and Russia, has become a place of work for miners who migrated from China in the middle of last year.

The President of the Republic, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, ordered the government to submit the final version of the draft law on the regulation of the mining industry by April. He made the relevant statement today at a cabinet meeting.

By March 15, officials and power engineers must compile a complete list of companies and citizens involved in cryptocurrency mining. In addition, it is necessary to find out what taxes they pay and how they buy equipment for farms.

The government has been tasked with bringing order to this area and making mining completely white, the President of Kazakhstan emphasized. According to him, it is necessary to gradually increase taxes on miners, as their income also increases.

A bill to regulate mining was developed by Parliament last summer.

It spells out the mechanisms of taxation and licensing of individuals and legal entities that mine cryptocurrency. Currently, this document is under consideration by the government of the republic.
