Seychelles-based cryptocurrency exchange Bilaxy reported a hot wallet hack. Users were advised to refrain from making deposits. The company does not disclose the amount of damage.

On the night of August 28-29, Bilaxy suddenly stopped working. According to MyCrypto security analyst Harry Denley, the hackers also disabled the exchange's support team and blocked her email domains.

The specialist noted that the daily trading volume of the platform exceeds $ 338 million - this is a great exchange. According to him, hackers could have withdrawn about $ 70 million.

The Hoge Finance project reported that during the attack, the attackers withdrew from the exchange about 1 billion HOGE. According to the developers, the hacked wallet contained a $ 22 million cryptocurrency.

The attack allegedly affected the tokens of about 300 projects, including the stablecoins Tether (USDT) and the native DEX Uniswap coins (UNI).

The Bilaxy team reported that they are working on a solution to the problem. The company promised to provide detailed information about the incident "after the completion of maintenance."

The exchange was trying to contact the issuer of the USDT stablecoin, possibly to freeze the stolen assets. It also asked the Hoge Finance team to get in touch.
