At the beginning of 2022, it became known about the plans of the American video game retailer GameStop to launch its own NFT platform.
Initially, the giant promised to develop a marketplace for transactions with tokenized collections by the end of this year. Then the company's management decided to speed up work in this direction.
Later, the GameStop press center stated that the platform would become available to users in mid-summer.
This week, the company introduced a platform for operations with NFT tokens. In a statement, the retailer notes that both gamers and ordinary supporters of the industry will be able to buy, sell and exchange digital collections.
