The average commission on the BTC network has grown by more than 300% in anticipation of halving.

According to the Bitinfocharts portal, on May 8, the average transaction cost soared to $3.19. Compared to April 26, when on average the commission's cost was $0.62, the growth exceeded 300%.
The last time the commission exceeded $3 in July 2019. In December 2017, when the first crypto coin reached a historic high, the average commission size soared to $55.
Commissions on the BTC network have consistently grown before halving. The last time, July 9, 2016, their cost also increased by more than 3 times.
