The leadership of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) may soon resume trading in Bitcoin futures. This was announced by the CEO of the exchange Ed Tilly.
He told reporters that the marketplace is interested in attracting institutional investors.
The demand for crypto-focused products has been on the rise lately. This is evidenced by the growth of investment in bitcoin funds. It is possible that soon CBOE may announce a re-listing of BTC futures.
However, Tilly did not specify when exactly the exchange could present such a product to investors.

As a reminder, the CBOE launched BTC futures trading in December 2017. However, after the shocking market drop in 2018 and amid stagnation in the first half of 2019, CBOE abandoned the product.
The administration of the trading platform did not explain in any way the decision to suspend operations with futures in June 2019.
Many experts believe that the platform took such a step since the demand for its product turned out to be weaker compared to the volume of Bitcoin futures trading on the CME.
