The news came from Financial Times which announced that two funds run by Horizons ETFs issued a market disruption warning for investors. That is a situation where markets stop functioning in a regular way because of fast and major declines.

The Horizon funds announced they won't be able to carry out trading activities if the futures rate stays as low as its lower limit at the close of trading.

Horizon’s ETFs, BetaPro Bitcoin ETF (“HBIT”) and the BetaPro Inverse Bitcoin ETF (“BITI”) invest in BTC futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, which sees a trading halt resulted from the sell-off.

Banking giant JP Morgan reported that in the current situation investors' choice often stands at putting money into gold.
