Blockchain.com wallet developers announce ruble support

The development team of the Blockchain.com crypto wallet purposes to add support for the Russian currency soon.

Currently, users of the service can perform operations with the Turkish lira, US dollar, euro, and British pound.

The team lately published a development program for the upcoming years. It notes that the reputation of the wallet among Russian users is growing rapidly.

According to the founder of the development company Peter Smith, already now, Russians provide an extended share of traffic, as well as service turnover. He did not name the exact launch dates for the support of the ruble but noted that this would happen within the next few weeks.

Smith emphasized that Blockchain.com is going to become one of the few crypto sphere exchange services allowing transactions to be paired with the currency of the Russian Federation.

The company’s press center also reported that by 2030 the number of wallets will increase to 1B. Recently, the number of recorded wallets has come close to 50 million. As of May 2020, Blockchain.com accounted for up to 32% of all BTC transactions.
