As part of complying with the sanctions legislation of the European Union, the BitMEX cryptocurrency exchange has decided to stop serving Russian users.
Over the past few months, many large trading platforms have banned citizens of the Russian Federation from making transactions with digital currencies.
Last Monday, the BitMEX administration notified Russian users by e-mail that the service will be terminated from July 11, 2022.
Users who receive such a message from the exchange will not be able to log into their accounts and make transactions.

However, as an exception, some citizens of the Russian Federation will still be able to use the services of the trading platform. The restrictive regime will not apply to Russians who enter the stock exchange from the EU and are residents of the union or Switzerland.
According to the CoinTelegraph portal, BitMEX will stop servicing legal entities registered in Russia, whose assets are managed by traders located in the European Union.
Recently it became known that the world's largest exchange Binance also began to limit the possibilities of users from the Russian Federation. However, the company said that it is not yet planning to completely leave the Russian market.
