“We expect that various cryptos will proceed to obtain popularity among our consumers, and, working with Bakkt, we can provide them with new and unusual payment methods at Starbucks,” a coffee chain spokesman said.
In the future, Bakkt will expand the functionality of the application by adding loyalty points to it. A wallet is also being prepared for release, which will allow you to store various types of assets.
For the first time, the idea of launching a Bakkt consumer app for Starbucks came up in March 2019. The application was announced in October.
