Adam Aron, the Chief Executive Officer of the movie chain, AMC Entertainment, wrote on Twitter that Dogecoin and Shiba Inu payments will be available soon.
The option will become available on the website by March 19 and it will go live on mobile applications by April 16. AMC partners with crypto payment service provider BitPay to provide the possibility.

AMC owns or operates around 950 theaters and 10,500 screens worldwide. The theater already supports Bitcoin, Eth, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin.
In September and in October 2021, AMC CEO asked via Twitter poll about users' opinions on accepting payments in DOGE and Shib. The majority answered "yes" to the question. Dogecoin and Shiba Inu are the two largest meme coins. Currently, DOGE is the 13, and SHIB is the 14th largest cryptocurrency.
