The government mentioned that it is necessary to ensure a regulatory environment for the future developments of digital technologies. Miners will be able to power farms through solar panels.
There will also be possible to connect to the power grid but that comes with the double payment of the regular cost. The decree mentions that in peak consumption times additional surcharges may be needed. There will be no license needed for a mining operator, but it must be listed by a newly established Perspective Projects Agency.
Crypto trading has been legal in Uzbekistan till 2018 but only for domestic platforms. The country has also released a series of energy projects using natural sources recently.
