Online activity on LTC has increased significantly over the past 12 months.
According to the Glassnode service, the number of LTC addresses on the blockchain making transactions daily has grown sixfold (from 50,000 to 300,000).
The number of new wallets on the network also skyrocketed. In the second half of March, it reached 100,000, which was a fivefold increase in a year, said David Schwartz, representing the Litecoin Foundation team. He believes that we are on the verge of another run of Litecoin, the price of which is currently holding just below $ 200.
LTC is ranked ninth in the ranking of the largest digital currencies. Recall that at the end of February, Litecoin reached $ 205 - this is the maximum value since March 2018.

The surge in transactional activity stems from the release of the final version of the MimbleWimble update last week.
LTC developers have announced that they will update the software within a few weeks or even months.
The team's blog says: "This review process can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months, depending on how smooth the review process goes and if any fixes are needed. The final code will then go to the main Litecoin base and will be ready for node operators and miners. In fact, after checking the code, it is the Litecoin community that will decide the fate of how quickly MimbleWimble will be activated."
