Bitcoin commission halving

Almost three weeks after the halving, the commissions on the bitcoin network dropped to the indicators recorded immediately before this event.

According to Bitinfocharts, on May 27, the average commission size fell to $2.40, although seven days earlier it exceeded $6.6.

Over the past two days, this figure has risen again and as of May 29 was $3.17. This is almost the same level that was recorded on May 8, three days before the halving.

The decrease in the average size of the commission occurs against the background of the ongoing devastation of the BTC mempool. Yesterday, the size of unconfirmed transactions dropped to 2.2 MB, and their total number fell below 4.5 thousand.
