The players of the American famous basketball squad, Sacramento Kings will be able to get their salaries in BTC. The CEO of the association Vivek Ranadivé revealed the news on April 5 in terms of the Clubhouse talk. He was a host of the room “Draper and Friends” created by a successful venture capital investor Tim Draper.
Ranadivé told that everybody in the association will be able to receive as much of their payment in BTC as they choose. The news was disclosed by active Clubhouse member and crypto enthusiast Neil Jacobs.

It's not the first time that the team has integrated crypto services. Back in 2014, the organization started accepting BTC payments for tickets and products in the store. In 2019 Kings released a crypto token for fan awards.

The Kings compete in the NBA as a member of the Western Conference. NBA also is interested in the crypto industry. In 2019 it partnered with blockchain-focused software company Dapper Labs to launch an NFT marketplace Top Shot.
