The Spanish financial market regulator CNMV surveyed the citizens of the country and found out that almost 7% of them have already become cryptocurrency investors.

The agency's report states that 6.8% of respondents have tested the capabilities of digital assets. Moreover, the share of such investors has grown significantly over the past few months, despite the restrictions imposed on several crypto companies.

In addition, in January, the Spanish authorities banned the publication of content promoting investments in bitcoin and other virtual coins.

9 out of 10 respondents said that they periodically see messages from the authorities that list the risks posed by digital currencies. However, these same respondents admitted that they are still not sufficiently aware of the threats that the cryptosphere poses to consumers.
