Recently, Tesla started accepting DOGE for some merch. As Musk said in his interviews, he thinks that the token serves well for payments and for carrying out transactions.
Currently, Dogecoin trades at around $0.1449. In the last 24 hours, the price went up by around 8%. The token is the 10th largest crypto with a market cap of over $1.3 billion.
Musk's announcement followed a tweet by the fast-food company asking how people running crypto accounts are doing. Recently, when crypto prices went down, a lot of crypto entrepreneurs and supporters shared memes on Twitter about doing jobs at fast-food, mainly at Mcdonalds.
El Salvador president Nayib Bukele was one of them. First, he temporarily changed his profile picture to one where he wears a Mcdonalds' cap and a work badge.

Later, the president created a poll-joke asking if he should quit "his job" at fast food and open a Bitcoin Burger joint. One user created McDonald’s Job Applications, turned them into an NFT collection, and presented them on OpenSea.
