The former head of the bankrupt Bitcoin exchange Mt.Gox, Mark Karpeles, intends to stop the lawsuit initiated by the former user of the platform back in 2014. This was reported by the Cointelegraph with reference to documents sent to the federal court of Chicago.

Karpeles’s lawyers asked the court to make a decision in “simplified order”, as the plaintiff in the person of Gregory Green allegedly admitted that his claims were either false or unfounded.
Former CEO Mt.Gox has insisted on withdrawing charges of misappropriation of funds, negligence, and fraud.
He claims that the plaintiff has no evidence of Karpeles’s appropriation of cryptocurrencies or fiat funds of users, as well as of the absence of security measures for Mt.Gox to manage bitcoins stored on the exchange. Karpeles considers the allegations of fraud to be contradictory and unfounded.
Кarpeles lawyers said that after resolving the claims against the other defendants in mid-2018, Mr. Green, who admitted his claims to be false and unfounded in the subsequent proceedings, continued to insist on his claims. In their opinion, the time has come to put an end to this lawsuit.
Recall, the ex-head of Mt.Gox already tried to stop the trial on the suit of Gregory Green and Anthony Motto, but then the judge rejected the request.
