MicroStrategy Purchases Another 5050 Bitcoins

MicroStrategy purchases more Bitcoin

On September 13, MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor revealed that the firm added 5050 more Bitcoins to its holdings. The deal was done for around $242.9 M in cash with an average BTC price of $48.099.

Thus, MicroStrategy's total BTC holdings reached 114.042 coins as of September 12, 2021. In total, the company put around $3.16 B in BTC purchases, acquiring each coin for about $27.713.

The previous purchase the company made was on August 24. Then it acquired 3,907 bitcoins for about $177 M. Besides, MicroStrategy plans to sell $1 B of its stocks.

The company first invested in BTC on August 11, 2020. Since then, it has turned from a software firm into a BTC investment vehicle.
