Facebook announced the primary basket of currencies. The corporation declared to US senators that Libra is going to be pegged to US dollar, euro, Singapore dollar, British pound and yen.

Mark Warner, Virginia Democratic Senator is warned that China can drive the Libra Association to add yuan in the basket too.
China has boosted various governments to add yuan to their stock holdings, interesting what pushed Facebook to exclude it from the Libra basket announced Warner. He and his colleagues are expressing concerns that China is making attempts to add stability to its national currency, which many think its government plans.
The Libra Association would eventually make such a decision, rather than Facebook alone, the corporation said when presenting its list of possible currencies.
Facebook published that any conclusion whether to include a new currency to the Libra Reserve would be executed based on all the laws and circumstances at the time, including any straight or indirect administrative limitations.
Facebook responded to Warner concerns saying that there is a chance that the Libra will be launched outside the US even if lawmakers are still concerned about it.
