Iran issues mining licence

The Turkish-based iMiner company received permission from the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran to operate a farm with six thousand miners in the province of Semnan. It is reported by Cointelegraph.

Presumably, iMiner with the declared fleet of devices will become one of the largest mining companies in the Islamic Republic. Six thousand units, in which iMiner invested about $7.3 million, will have a capacity of 96 TH/s. The device uses Miner 16Th/s from the Chinese Aladdin.

In addition, iMiner will continue to provide trading and custodial services for the Middle East through offices in Semnan and Tehran.

Recall, the Iranian authorities recognized mining as an industrial activity last summer, and in November they talked about new rules for calculating electricity prices for miners. At the same time, market participants who refused legalization began to be prosecuted by law.
