Soon, India will be able to become one of the first states to introduce blockchain into e-government in higher education.

So, the authorities of Maharashtra have officially announced the conclusion of a partnership with the blockchain company LegitDoc. Officials want to leverage Ethereum's distributed ledger technology to authenticate higher education degrees.

Maharashtra government wants to eradicate diploma certificate hacking incidents. Thus, the authorities want not only to strengthen control in the education sector but also to minimize incidents of corruption. In India, in connection with this idea, they oppose the ban on cryptocurrencies, because otherwise, the introduction of blockchain technology will become impossible.
