Nikil Rati, who heads the FCA, has urged UK citizens to refrain from investing in digital currencies.

Speaking in London at one of the events, the representative of the regulator again drew attention to the risks of capital investments in such instruments. A cryptocurrency investor should be prepared to lose their money, as volatility will escalate at any moment, and the market will fall again.

Rati said: "As you know, we have repeatedly warned that crypto investors are in danger of losing all funds."
