EOS block manufacturers have decided to activate version 1.8 of the EOSIO protocol on Monday, September 23. This will be the first hard fork and the biggest update in the project history.

At the time of writing, 29 out of 30 block manufacturers have confirmed their readiness. At the same time, the bitfinexeos1 and whaleex.com nodes have not yet been tested, and hashfineosio refrained from making public statements.
Recall that in the first 4 months of this year, 75% of transactions in decentralized applications on EOS in the amount of 6 million were carried out by bots.
