eBay Becomes the First E-Commerce Firm to Enable NFT Sales

eBay allows NFT selling

Popular electronic purchase firm eBay started allowing NFT trading on its platform thus becoming the first online shop to do so. eBay said it will provide the option of selling NFTs for collectibles like videoclips, pictures, or trading-cards.

Senior VP and general manager of eBay's North American branch Jordan Sweetnam stated that in the next months the company will provide options that allow blockchain-based collectibles. Earlier this month the company revealed considering the approval of crypto payments.

Among e-commerce networks that accept crypto payments are Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, and more.

The demand for the crypto industry including the NFT sector has been rising.

NFTs are blockchain-powered non-fungible tokens that don't are unique and don't have their equivalent. The rights of ownership are ensured by blockchain. NFTs' use cases have also been expanding. Now not only celebrities introduce their collectibles, but other industry representatives and people interested in blockchain find the way how NFTs can be beneficial for them.
