Hackers withdrew about $6M from the liquidity pools of the EasyFi landing protocol, which uses second-tier solutions from Matic Network (now Polygon).
CEO and founder of the project, Ankitt Gaur, said that attackers gained remote access to his computer and took possession of the keys to the MetaMask wallet.
The attack was "well planned", he said. Hackers managed to get hold of USDT and DAI stablecoins and withdraw 2.98 million EASY tokens.
“The computer was not used for day-to-day operations, but solely for official transfers. The hacker expected for the right moment and executed a well-planned attack."

Gaur stressed that the coins are still not sold due to their low liquidity. The head of EasyFi offered the hacker a $1M reward for a refund.
Over the past 24 hours, the project's token has dropped by 25%.
Earlier, a similar incident occurred with the founder of the DeFi-project of mutual insurance Nexus Mutual Hugh Karp. By replacing MetaMask with a malicious version, the hacker managed to steal more than $ 8 million.
