Brett Redfearn's position at Coinbase is Capital Markets' head. He is an experienced specialist serving over 25 years in leading financial positions. Before serving at the US SEC, Redfearn worked at JP Morgan, where he was the head of various divisions such as market, trading, product, and strategy.

In the blog post released on March 30, Coinbase welcomed Redfearn noting that he's the perfect candidate for the role due to his broad background in regulation and finances.

Additionally, the trading platform is looking for opening an office in the Indian city of Hyderabad. For this purpose, the company aims to hire software development, engineering, and customer support in the country.

Coinbase was founded in 2012 in San Francisco. It is regulated and licensed by the SEC. The firm aims to become public in April. Direct placement on Nasdaq means that the platform will reach liquidity and the public markets without raising funds and lock-up period.
