In early 2021, Ether (ETH) futures became available to investors on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). The product was announced back in December.

The management of the trading platform was conceived to attract additional capital to the crypto sphere through specialized products. Now the exchange promises to introduce micro-futures on ETH in a month. A similar product has already been launched on CME for Bitcoin.

The size of one contract will be 0.1 ether. Both institutional and retail traders will be able to use it. In a statement from the Chicago Stock Exchange, it is noted that the new product will appear on the platform on December 6, 2021. CME is now awaiting regulatory approval.

According to Tim McCourt of CME Group, the emergence of micro-ether futures will increase the availability of an innovative tool for traders who do not want to risk large capitals.

Today ETH has surpassed $ 4490 for the first time in its history. Cryptocurrency capitalization is now approaching $ 530 billion. Analysts at Goldman Sachs do not exclude that the price of ether will reach $ 8,000 this year, and altcoin will soar to $ 10,000 next year.
