At the beginning of this week, the SUEX cryptocurrency platform, registered in Russia and the Czech Republic, was on the sanctions list of the US Treasury.
The department said that the restrictive measures against the trading platform were introduced as part of the policy of the US leadership against hackers, who often require ransom in digital currencies.
SEUX founder Yegor Petukhovsky announced his intention to appeal the decision of the Ministry of Finance in court. Thus, he wants to protect the reputation of his platform, even though the US authorities accuse SUEX of money laundering.
