European hedge fund manager Brevan Howard hired CMT Digital CEO Colleen Sullivan to manage private and venture investments in cryptocurrencies. In 2017, she co-founded Chicago-based CMT Digital, a division of investment manager firm CMT Group. The parent company, founded in 1997, started activities in the crypto sector in 2013.
As for CMT Digital, it is focused on cryptocurrency operations and blockchain innovations. Sullivan will lead operations of the company's newly launched division, BH Digital.
In May, Brevan Howard announced starting a digital asset product and also that its main fund would invest in crypto.

Earlier, in April, the hedge fund manager announced plans to allocate up to 1.5% of its main fund or equal to $5.6 B to direct exposure to crypto.CMT Digital had invested in several large crypto companies such as lending platform BlockFi, and crypto investment firm Polychain Capital.
