The energy consumption of BTC miners resumed growth after falling against the backdrop of a halving. This is evidenced by the Digiconomist service.

Two weeks after halving, this indicator dropped by 24%, from 77.78 TW·h/year to 57.9 TW·h/year. At the moment, it is 61.44 TW·h/year.
The Cambridge index of energy consumption by miners reflects different figures. According to CIE, at the moment, the average energy consumption is 58.24 TW·h/year, and on May 11, it reached 83.43 TW·h/year.
The energy consumption caused by mining is close to that of Kuwait and Switzerland. One BTC transaction leaves a carbon footprint of 626,300 Visa transactions or watching videos on YouTube for 4.7 years.
