What is Litecoin Cash?
Litecoin Cash is an unofficial Litecoin hard fork, focused on changing mining conditions and increasing the emission of coins. The new currency appeared in February 2018 and is planning to support the miner community and ensure fast transactions. Litecoin hardfork has set itself the task of transferring mining to the SHA-256 algorithm, which allows users to use outdated bitcoin mining and inefficient equipment in the production of the new cryptocurrency. Certain technical aspects of the digital money created have also been revised. Compared to Litecoin, the total emission of Litecoin Cash was increased ten times and amounted to 840 million coins. This step aims to stabilize the cryptocurrency rate and make it less volatile by reducing the overall level of value. Litecoin hard fork took place on February 18 on block 1371111. Any user who had LTC at that time received the LCC account in a ratio of 1:10. It was based on this distribution that the bulk of the new coins were distributed. The block formation time has been accelerated to ensure fast transactions in the Litecoin Cash network: currently, it is 2.5 minutes. The mining difficulty is recalculated after each block. It also provides additional protection against attacks and a specific prefix to prevent confusion when using addresses. As conceived by the developers, the Litecoin Cash crypto will become in demand at the user level. The emphasis is on the network's miners, which, due to the changed algorithm, will be able to mine new coins with high efficiency.
