Bitcoin Depot, the largest Bitcoin ATM operator in the US, disables some of them to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic. First of all, this applies to devices installed in places with high traffic to help to distance people in an epidemic.

According to the company, about 10% of its ATMs will temporarily cease operation by the end of April. In total, there are more than 600 Bitcoin Depot networks in 25 states.
A company spokeswoman said that as they track the current situation, the number of places temporarily disconnected from the network is likely to increase.
Back in November last year, the number of BTC ATMs worldwide exceeded 6,000 units, with more than 65% of them in the US. To date, 7422 such devices have already been installed, and the share of the US has grown to 70%.
