UEFA digitizes Euro 2020 top scorers on blockchain

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has released digital copies of the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship top scorers awards on the AntChain blockchain.

Awards are given to the players who have scored the most goals in a tournament. The first three places in the ranking were taken by Cristiano Ronaldo, Patrick Schick, and Karim Benzema.

Digital versions on blockchain will complement physical trophies as part of UEFA's partnership with payments company Alipay.

In February 2020, Italian football club Juventus released collectible digital cards featuring their players. Among them was Cristiano Ronaldo.
