Jack Dorsey never hides his feelings to Bitcoin. He publicly announces that this currency is the future.
On February 2, Dorsey tweeted the recently added Bitcoin emoji and tagged Unicode. That is a clear offer for the organization to add the new emoji.

From now on, when a user of Twitter writes #Bitcoin or #BTC, the symbol appears.

The community supported Dorsey's suggestion adding the BTC emoji by Unicode. The earliest one to join the question was the co-founder of Lightning Labs Elizabeth Stark.
