NFT stands for non-fungible token. The tokens can be in the form of a GIF, image, or MP3 working on blockchain. Acquiring it, the buyer gets rights of proof-of-ownership.
The most expensive NFT was sold for $69 M. It was an artwork by Mike Winkelmann known as Beeple. The collectible is called "Everydays: The First 5000 Days," which represents a collection of 5,000 pieces of the artist's work.
Currently, NFTs mainly focus on famous people. On March 23, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin talked about the market and how it can be beneficial for society. He finds the amount raised by NFT sales can go to different charity purposes.
