The lawyers of the Russian Alexander Vinnik demanded to consider the issue of his return to Greece.
At a hearing in the Paris Court of Appeal, the lawyer Zoya Constantinople, defending Vinnik, pointed out the illegality of his transfer from Greece to France and declared a violation of human rights.
“We intend to ask for clarification about how correct the European order, based on which it was sent to France, is, and insist that its return there should not be automatic,” said another lawyer for Vinnik, Frederic Belo.
The defense also stressed that during the hearings in the correctional court, the Russian was acquitted on almost all the charges brought forward by the French prosecutor's office.

The lawyers also noted that now Alexander Vinnik "is in a serious psychological condition and there is a risk of suicide."
We will remind, the Russian was extradited to France from Greece in January last year.
In December, a court in Paris sentenced Vinnik to five years in prison and a € 100,000 fine.
