The popular digital asset trading platform Kraken has announced the purchase of the equally well-known non-custodial betting service Staked. Based on the official statement of the exchange, all its users will be able to join the operation of the investment platform in January 2022.
In the announcement of the new acquisition, the Kraken exchange decided not to disclose the terms of the deal and to be as short as possible. The actual amount for which the trading platform purchased the betting service also remained unknown.
If we rely on the results of monitoring, then we can say with confidence that in the past year one of the most profitable areas of Kraken's activities was the introduction to staking. Based on the financial reports of the trading platform, as of November 2021, the intensive development of the new business sector brought Kraken a profit of $ 16 billion.

On top of that, it's worth noting that Staked CEO Tim Ogilvy has been very flattering about his new partners.
“For a reason, among all the companies wishing to lead the further activities and development of our platform, we chose Kraken. The cryptocurrency exchange has already established itself as a reliable partner, always giving preference to security and the wishes of its users, "Ogilvy said, commenting on the conclusion of the" alliance" with Kraken.
